Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, formerly known as Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda University or simply Vivekananda University. It is an education institute headquartered at Belur, West Bengal, with campuses spanning multiple states in India.

It is a university with a difference, being neither a regularly government-funded grant-in-aid institution, nor a self-financing or private university with a focus on financial viability of programmes. It offers programmes in mathematical sciences as well as in subjects related to Indian heritage.

Established in 2005, It’s a deemed-to-be university declared by the MHRD. In 2019, the institute was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with a grade of A++ and score: 3.66.

Its department of Sanskrit and philosophy is now offering an online post graduate program namely, Master of Arts in Sanskrit which is at par with UGC guidelines on online programs.
